One of the most dynamic and versatile performers of all time, Sammy Davis Jr. is The Breeze “Artist of The Month” for April!!
The great entertainer started as a child star and went on to become a famous member of Frank Sinatra’s Rat Pack. Sammy was known for his self-depreciating humor. After an accident in 1954 caused him to lose an eye and convert to Judaism, he famously cracked, "I'm a short, ugly, one-eyed, black Jew. What do you think it's like for me?"
- Widely regarded as one of the great live performers of all-time, Sammy’s career as an entertainer began at the age 4 and continued until this untimely death at 64… Sammy was posthumously given the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001.
